City Battle? + DT MAP!!

Is it me or is DT kinda weird at the moment? I've been tied up with mixtapes and work stuff so I haven't been on as much as I'd like, but something feels strange around here. I got to thinking, why isn't anyone smiling? I had a little look and gradually found a few...
(beathic, hubus, shay {check her new song, its nice}, kokome, chris baynes, but I'm not sure if he's smiling) .
So anyway, I figured people seem frustrated. I thought about how sometimes you need an argument or fight to vent it, so I starting planning how I could stir some shit up... and then I found this sample - "Ain't nobody straight in LA, seems like everybody is gay". OK, yeah, might as well annoy DT's home city*. Why not try to get people to battle against each others cities. I always thought LA vs Chi Town would be a hot battle (Trilogy, Don, Storming Norman?!).
But then I played it to a few people and kinda got the impression that it wasn't the sort of thing that you could do lightly. Like it would have to turn into some big beef. I can't be bothered with all the 'take it to the streets' shit, so I scraped that plan. But still, I figured it would be good if we could get a little mixtape of tracks repping each of the major cities or states. I've been planning to do blog posts profiling various cities and countries (UK, Australia etc), so if any of you wanna do a collabo with people in your city get at me and we'll do a blog post on your city. I think Matteb is thinking about an Australia one. What about Canada? New York? NC/SC? London/UK? Texaaaaas?....

*I should mention that I'm really not being homophobic at all with this 'everybody is gay' track - I'm taking the playground use of the word. My dog is gay. This picture of the L.A. branch of the Cavaliers Gay Motorbike club shouldn't offend anyone on DT. In fact, I have almost certainly seen one of those faces before on DT, I'm sure. Any gay emcees on DT, holla at me.

aw damn i posted a big reply to this a few days back but it seems to have disappeared…. the jist of it was that i didnt think you were done cos you werent a million of miles from making a valid point.. (maybe i was wrong).

My views only appear to lack substance when you modify it to the lowest terms.
I don’t know how you feel about gays, but I was saying it is a little to soon to joke about it in a world where many people still believe leviticus is the word of God.
I do everything I can, in what i would like to see in rap, in my own music, and people here, that I admire, like it. The ones that I liked, even if they hated my stuff, but so far, most of the ones I liked did like my stuff.
If alot of people liked it, I would suspect I was doing stuff geared toward mainstream radio, which is what alot of DT sounds like. Not that that is bad, but it doesn’t get my vibrations going enough.
You put together good mixtapes of other people’s music, but I didn’t really get what you do, unless that is it. A DJ, mixer?
But a DJ/mixer isn’t really a musician.

ok i gota be quick cos the net where i am (argentina, lame bar) is flaky. 2 weeks cos i’ve been away on holiday. i didnt get at you cos i held out hope you might redeem yourself and i didnt want to make you appear foolish, but you’re a fool, so i figure its ok now. like with ALL YOUR COMMENTS, read the damn poost and you will see that you are missing the point. the fact that you think i’m dissing gays shows how far you’ve missed the point. box minds/ worth mentions… WTF are you trying to say? it doesnt make sense. you’ll notice that 95% of this community want some direction, stuff to aim for, hence why i suggested tracks that your city. not dissed other cities. again, you have a failure to understand and you just dish out stock phrases. yeah you’re negative and if ONE PERSON can see any benefit to what you’re saying then please speak up, cos this fool can’t convey a decent argument. like i say, UGLY, BITTER CHEERLEADER.

i know you want to represent some alternative, and that is positive, but ‘alternative’ on its own is worthless if you don’t have any substance. its not enough to just define yourself by what you don’t like.
