100,000th track beef
Wow, it seems like only a few months ago that we were talking about DT hitting the big five zero, but here we are on the cusp of 100,000! I won’t bore you with another rundown of the hits on the big number (go look for yourself, its largely disappointing), but double0negro got the 50,000 (now made private).
Lets make sure that the big 100k is impressive… maybe a few cats want to get together and get something sick there… maybe it’s just a number and it doesn’t matter, but it does make me kinda proud to think that we got there. If the average track is about tywo and a half minutes, that’s 173 straight days of listening… almost half a year!! Man, that should be the new sentence for murder.
PS: Next up I’m doing a profile of DT crews & clans… all y’all clan leaders get at me with what you got on youtube, myspace etc etc. I wanna see how DT clans are breaking out of DT.

this isnt reply to casino’s comment…but 100,000 doesn’t matter past the fact that dt has a lot of traffic..good thing…but other than that its just a number…whats the fascination with round numbers anyway…now that should be a topic…haha
100k tracks matter a lot! your looking at the significance of the achievement with a topical view. no disrespect bro, but, think about this for a minute, then ask yourself again. 100k may only represent a round number to you, but to me, it means 100k artistic creations…good or not, were able to be heard. that is what we want, is it not? we all voice our experiences, views, likes, dislikes, etc…through the mic or through the beats. in addition, we get feedback from our peers, the most experienced people to critique our music and give advice on a wide spectrum issues. i made a song about coming up as a kid and a large% of the people who listened to it, came up the same way.sharing your thoughts and expressing yourself through music to me has been very healthy. sorry about the journal, but this site plays a far more significant role in my life than i thought it would. hope i changed your view! lokwan

whoa….just because 100,000 tracks are up, doesn’t mean there are that many artistic creations…u can throw paint on a canvas all day an it doesn’t mean a thing unless someone appreciates it….u and i know a lot of garbage shit is thrown up eeryday….feedback..yess..its a great thing…but with all the traffic…100k songs…its that much harder to git somebody to listen thoroughly to ur joint…we are able to be heard but alot dont listen to shit…more like….6g….uknow…or throw a link up and dip…more isnt always better…

shit that could be a murder sentence cuz if I had to listen to ALL the weak ass shit on DT over and over I prolly kill myself..I mean the ratio to real HOT tracks to actual tracks is prolly 20-1..but 100,000 thats alotta mufa fuckin music

Pop rap, that is what it is. All the people I loved are doing pop rap now, with syn beats.
It is like on Guitar hero 3, all the songs are mostly atleast a few decades old, because people rarely play instruments or guitar solos anymore.
